Portable and modular buildings provider Algeco has appointed Patrick Keefe as Head of Quality UK, reinforcing the company’s commitment to creating safe, sustainable places that are operationally ready from day one. This appointment forms part of Algeco’s wider business transformation programme, strengthening its focus on operational excellence, quality assurance and delivering a more consistent customer experience across its UK network.
With over 30 years of senior-level experience in quality, operational performance and organisational improvement across the UK and Middle East, Patrick is ideally placed to support Algeco’s commitment to driving consistency and ensuring the organisation’s processes support both operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Through senior level positions with Royal Mail and Qatar Post, Patrick has led major improvements in reporting accuracy, process consistency and ISO-aligned quality management systems. Notably, he played a key role in helping Qatar Post achieve top-tier global performance rankings according to the UPU Global Monitoring System (GMS), elevating its position from the bottom 10% in the world to the top 2-3%.
On his appointment, Mike Shakeshaft, SHEQ Director, said: “It is fundamentally important as we step forward that we have dedicated leadership focused on embedding robust quality standards, and creating this role reflects the importance we place on quality as a priority for Algeco. Patrick is recognised for designing practical, effective processes that make compliance easier, strengthening quality management systems and audit disciplines, and embedding quality into everyday operational activities through strong engagement with frontline teams. I am delighted to welcome him on board and excited by the positive contribution he will make.”
Patrick Keefe added: “I passionately believe that quality lies in how an organisation leads, supports and develops their people. With 18 centres across the country and a quality team of 40, my focus will be on championing a culture where colleagues feel valued, trusted and able to do their best work – standardising good practice whilst strengthening the systems needed to deliver high quality products and services to our customers. I look forward to making a difference.”
