Euroform’s Latest Structural Floor Panel

Euroform’s Versafloor® wood-based flooring panels have been the choice of modular builders for over 20 years. The new Versafloor® HD adds to the range, providing an even more solid feel option, which has been assessed as of limited combustibility.

A2fl-s1 Reaction to Fire Classification

Particularly suited to offsite construction, VersafloorR HD is a structurally graded cement bonded particle board with an A2fl-s1 Reaction to Fire classification according to BS EN 13501-1, one of few flooring boards on the market to combine the two attributes. “For offsite manufacturers, VersafloorR HD offers the feel of a traditional solid floor without the weight,” says Euroform’s Technical Director John Taylor. “Importantly, its limited combustibility provides the benefit of reduced risk of combustion compared to traditional wood-based flooring boards.”

Graded for structural use

VersafloorR HD is graded for structural use in floors and decking according to BS EN 13986. Due to its higher density (1560 kg/m3 +/- 10%) compared with wooden boards such as P5 particle board, it has a more solid feel, plus the high density helps with noise control within floor/ceiling systems. Highly moisture tolerant, VersafloorR HD will not rot or degrade in the presence of moisture. It also provides higher thermal conductivity and heat capacity compared with traditional wood flooring boards, so is a good choice where thermal insulation and underfloor heating is required.

Speed and ease of installation

For speed and ease of installation, VersafloorR HD is supplied with tongue and groove edges to four sides. It is available from stock in standard dimensions 1200 x 600 x 18mm or 22mm (laid size) and can be supplied as a pre-cut kit of parts to suit off-site manufacturing requirements for minimal cutting and waste. Also effective as a nonstructural overlay board, VerasfloorR HD can be used for refurbishment and acoustic floor upgrades.

Manufacturers of modular buildings for many sectors, including education, healthcare, prisons and residential schemes, are already specifying VersafloorR HD attracted by the combination of its structural strength and limited combustibility, reports Euroform. VersafloorR HD is one of several products Euroform supplies to offsite manufacturers, which include noncombustible exterior grade VersarendR render board, EasyboardR and VersarocR MPA1 along with limited combustibility A2 VersapanelR sheathing boards and WeathercladR cladding in a wide range of finishes.

Euroform has been developing, fabricating and supplying materials for the construction industry since 1995, specialising in ensuring fire and thermal compliance across its product range. It is part of the Performance Technology Group, a group of companies supporting the construction industry to meet acoustic, fire, thermal and vibration challenges.
