MPBA: Opening Doors to Valuable Business Development and Networking Opportunities

The Modular & Portable Building Association (MPBA) plays a key role in connecting all sectors of the industry. This not-for-profit trade association’s objective is to support the raising of safety and quality standards, provide training and facilitate significant modular industry research.

Leading best practice principles, the MPBA is represented on many committees for the benefit of members. Most importantly, the MPBA ensure evolving government policies and decisions are not made on behalf of the construction industry without due consideration for the impact they may have on the volumetric modular sector.

Regardless of the size and type of your business, becoming an MPBA member will open doors to valuable business development and networking opportunities. Members are able to gain news and important information first, together with privileged access to industry events that offer insight into new modular industry standards, construction techniques and technologies.

Specialist training in the modular industry

In 2020, the MPBA launched a new Training Centre delivering education programmes where young and mature students can learn key skills relevant to the industry. The facility, which is located in Coventry, West Midlands, offers a dedicated environment for industry experts to share beneficial knowledge away from the pressures of the workplace. The Training Centre provides the MPBA with the ability to deliver informative technical and best practice programmes for members.

The MPBA works with key partners in specialist areas such as legal, insurance, employment, health and safety to offer industry specific business support together with technical and training services to help businesses reach their full potential.

Founded in 1938, with an in-depth understanding of the industry, the MPBA has represented this advanced and highly innovative sector for over 80 years. Unlike regional training providers, course content is developed with members, for members.

Join the MPBA today

Joining an association with many other likeminded professionals will open up new collaboration opportunities and add significant value to your company. Members of the MPBA are split into two defined categories:

Full Members – Supply for purchase or hire, new manufactured or quality pre-owned modular and portable buildings.

Associate Members – Possess strong business contacts within the industry supplying materials, components or services applicable to full members.

The MPBA is recognised as the voice of the modular industry. As a member the team can help you solve business problems, connect you to new customers and suppliers, and make your voice heard.

Become a member today and open the door to a wide range of resources and support.
