Frameclad has announced the launch of a network of approved installation partners, extending its specialist light steel frame capabilities through a coordinated approach to installation. The new delivery model combines specialist design, engineering and manufacturing with expert installation.
Two Experts – One Coordinated Delivery Team
The initiative brings together two complementary areas of expertise as Nik Teagle, Joint Managing Director, Frameclad, explains:
“Rather than treating installation as a separate, downstream activity, Frameclad’s approved partners work alongside our design and engineering specialists together with the wider project team, contributing practical site knowledge before manufacturing begins.
“Their input can inform installation sequencing, access requirements, tolerances, temporary stability, logistics and resource planning, helping identify potential challenges. This early collaboration supports our design for manufacture and assembly approach, helping reduce avoidable modifications, late design changes and programme disruption.
“As construction projects face increasing pressure to demonstrate compliance, manage interfaces and deliver against demanding programmes, our initiative recognises the importance of integrating installation expertise into the process from the outset.”
Clearly Defined Responsibilities
Frameclad’s approach is built around a clear division of responsibilities within one coordinated delivery strategy. The company continues to provide dedicated technical design, engineering and manufacturing expertise, supported by controlled production processes and digital traceability in line with golden thread compliance. Installation is undertaken by an approved specialist with the appropriate competence, experience and resources for the project.
The network also provides greater geographical coverage and the ability to match installation expertise and capacity to individual project requirements. This offers greater resilience when planning projects across different locations, scales and programmes, without relying solely on a fixed in-house installation resource.
Integrated Delivery Solution
The approved installation partners can also extend beyond light steel frame installation to include complementary packages such as external wall build-ups, cladding and facade systems, drylining, internal partitions, insulation and fire-stopping.
Where appropriate, these services can be coordinated through the same installation partner, helping reduce the number of interfaces managed by the main contractor and supporting earlier coordination between trades.
“Throughout the process, Frameclad remains directly accessible to clients and project teams,” added Joint Managing Director, Martin Jamieson. “Providing specialist support and maintaining control of the engineered system and manufacturing information. Our coordinated design records, production information and inspection requirements also support traceability and the demonstration of compliance with relevant project requirements.
“By combining specialist manufacturing capability with installation-led expertise, Frameclad aims to provide a practical, cost-effective and transparent delivery model that addresses the challenges of construction before they reach site.”
The launch reinforces Frameclad’s commitment to delivering high-performance light steel framing systems through a coordinated approach that brings together precision engineering, manufacturing quality and expert installation — with clearly defined responsibilities and a shared focus on successful project delivery.
