Following the announcement of the 2022 Offsite Award finalists, specialist manufacturers of bespoke modular housing solutions, VOLUMETRIC™ have once again beaten off tough competition from across the construction industry, this year landing coveted finalist places in three separate categories. Aiming to follow their 2021 success, where the team took home both the Building Performance Pioneer award and ‘Winner of Winners’ award, VOLUMETRIC™ will be hoping to be crowned winners in three highly competitive categories.

Both the Social Housing Project of the Year and Best Use of Volumetric Technology entries feature the pioneering initiative by VOLUMETRIC™ to manufacture and supply 33 single-occupancy modular homes to Haringey Council, London, in collaboration with delivery partners Hill Group. Units were manufactured in just nine weeks, delivered to the site on time, and took five days to install. The VOLUMETRIC™ team supplied all units fully furnished, with internal features fitted and tested before delivery. Following the project delivery, Gill Taylor, the Council’s Head of Service and Strategic Lead for Homelessness, said ‘This raises the bar for London’s homelessness response. Rough sleepers deserve quality housing like this, and we’re currently exploring other sites in the borough to build more." The first development of its kind to be delivered over two storeys; the Haringey project was the first London council site to use this solution.

Following extensive research into new markets and applications, the MODULHAUS Duo™ interim two-person home offers a solution to the issue of rising housing and energy prices for keyworkers, making it a cost-efficient alternative to ongoing hotel and travel expenses.
