Michael Page to recruit over 500 jobs in Yorkshire to create sustainable homes

13th October, 2021

Global recruitment specialist, Michael Page, has today announced it is recruiting for over 500 new jobs across North Yorkshire.

The new roles, which will be based predominately in Knaresborough, have been created by pioneering modular housing company, ilke Homes. Using state of the art technology, the company is helping to shape the future of the housing industry by manufacturing precision-engineered eco-homes. The array of job openings (including manufacturing, production operatives, supervisors and office and business support functions) come as the business looks to scale up in order to support the pipeline of new sites across the country that align with its cost effective, zero carbon and sustainable vision.

Michael Page will lead on recruiting these 500+ jobs which include a number of entry level opportunities along with more experienced, specialist roles. Those with an interest in sustainability who are eager to learn and gain a rewarding career in the housing sector are encouraged to apply here.

Commenting on the announcement, Alex Hall, Head of Customer Development at Page Outsourcing, a PageGroup brand, said: "We are proud to be working closely with ilke Homes as the company looks to expand its production and manufacturing capabilities. Their dedication to increasing the number of sustainable and affordable homes available in the UK is truly inspiring.

"These roles will be critical when it comes to helping ilke scale up their operations and continue to disrupt the house building market at a time where both housing shortages and environment issues are top of the agenda. We are excited to channel both our global and hyper local expertise towards this project and place the best candidates in the right roles at speed, whether that's experienced hires or promising entry level talent."
